Welcome to Ultimate Athletics, home of SE Minnesota’s renowned coaching staff with over 275 Regional and National Championship titles to their credit – including the prestigious National Grand Champion Award – and the Ultimate Athletics Competition Cheer Teams. Ultimate Athletics is the longest running Cheer gym in Rochester, and Southeastern Minnesota.

OUR STORY
In 1994, Kris Hames and Betty O’Hare brought competitive cheerleading to Rochester under the name RYCA competitive cheerleading – The 1st program in Rochester and SE Minnesota. This team was formed as a sub-program from the previously known; Rochester Youth Cheerleading Association. From 1994 – 1996 RYCA would compete two or three times a year, but would focus most of the time on community events and parades.
In 1997, Kris Hames and Julie Domaile, changed the name, and reputation, of RYCA. Rochester All-Stars was created. Keeping with the tradition of RYCA, Rochester All-stars would still be involved in their community as well as parades and local events.
As the competition cheerleading industry was rapidly growing and gaining attention, Rochester All-Stars was keeping up!! From 1997-2005 Rochester All-Stars was the most successful cheerleading team in SE Minnesota. From year to year the team would grow, and would go onto to win multiple local, regional and national championships.
Rochester All-Stars was the team to beat!
In 2006 the cheerleading industry in the US and in Minnesota was exploding into the lives of many families.
With competition cheerleading becoming the fastest growing sport in the US, once again, changes needed to be made to keep up with the industry.
Armed with a degree in Business Management, gymnastics training, 16 years of dance experience, 10 years of cheerleading experience (youth and competition), Sara Lent combined her expertise with the knowledge and experience of Rochester All-Stars Founders and Coaches to Form Ultimate Athletics.
Today Ultimate Athletics is the longest running competition cheer team in SE Minnesota.
With the tradition and pride of Rochester All-stars among us, UA feels it is important to not only commit to training and self improvement, but to give back to the community. We still are actively involved in local parades and community events.
Today, we compete two to three times a month from October to March. Training multiple times a week, and working toward the common goal…
